BYLAWS

ORGANIZATION

This organization is to be known as the North American Association of Transportation Safety and Health Officials (NAATSHO), and is hereafter referred to as the Association.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of this Association are to promote and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the occupational safety and health programs designed for the Highway and/or Transportation Departments in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

OFFICERS

The Association Chairperson shall be the delegate of the host department and shall have the responsibility of programming, planning and presiding over the conference agenda and business meetings with assistance from the Association Vice Chairpersons.
The Association Vice-Chairpersons shall be the chairperson from the previous year's conference and the chairperson of the up-coming year's conference.
The Chairperson and the Vice-Chairpersons shall be the Conference Committee.
The Association Administrative Board shall consist of members who perform the duties of the treasurer, contact person, web master, historian and the business meeting recording secretary. These duties shall be rotated as needed.

SUBCOMMITTEES and SPECIAL INTERESTS

Special interests shall be identified by the Conference Committee and assigned to members to manage. Conference time shall be allowed for status updates and reports.

The membership shall consist of Highway and/or Transportation Department safety and health officials primarily responsible for directing employee safety and health programs for their departments.
